Beyond the essay process, Michael was an excellent college counsellor. He would always keep in touch and ask for updates on my acceptances. In the time that I worked with Michael, he went from a college counsellor to a mentor, and I would recommend his services to everyone

What stands out most is the intention behind everything he does. It is not just information, it is guidance that reaches students where they are and helps them believe in what is possible for their future.

I truly cannot recommend Michael enough. What felt like one of the most intimidating parts of the college application process became something I actually enjoyed.

He was probably more excited for me than I was when I got into UChicago. I truly see Michael as a friend and mentor, rather than just a college counsellor. Everything about my experience working with him was lovely.

I especially loved his effort in maintaining the "vibe" and goal of my original ideas; after all the revisions, my voice and intention were still preserved in the final product—just more digestible and expressive. Truly, I wouldn't wish anything different!

I ultimately submitted a personal statement that felt unique to me and truly reflected who I am. I believe having an essay that genuinely reflected who I am strengthened my applications and played a huge role in my successful admissions outcomes.
